Along with developers, I am working on a web app called Boston Police Index–a platform where anyone can look at the local police information. The users will be anyone from defense attorney to civilians who want to find out more about the police officers they have encountered. The goal is to help with police transparency and reduce harm from any biases or wrongdoing by the police. I have been in charge of rebranding, as well as the overall design of the app and all the elements like tables.

Process Work for Branding:
While designing the logo and choosing the typeface, here are some key points that I kept in my mind:
- Evoke policing system
- Shouldn’t look like its an official police/logo/site
- Easily swap geography
- Timeless
- Easily recognizable
- approachable
- moving, involving police on the go (italic, box-like typeface)
- transparency (indicated by the gradient)
