Typeface designed inspired by the forms of bird, each letter starting with the name of the featured bird.
The idea came from my love and hate relationship with birds (especially the cute fratinos and vicious seagulls) in Venice while I was studying abroad.
The original inspiration of my aproach to this type design came from how I learn Japanese Kanji when I was little. The kanji characters usually were overlapped with the illustrations of what each character represented. It is easy and fun to learn even the difficult kanji because uniqueness of each thing was highlighted. I wanted to do something similar so the audience can learn about the birds in an interactive way.
